We would like to give you an update regarding the balcony renovation. Unfortunately, the project has been delayed by about two weeks due to extended processing time by the city.
Normally, a technical consultation can be held before the start permit is issued, but in this case the city official declined such a meeting. When the application was later submitted, comments were still made on the construction drawings, even though it is well known that exact calculations of reinforcement and concrete can only be made once the demolition work has begun. The contractor therefore submitted a revised drawing based on estimated values and is now following up with the city on a daily basis in order to obtain a prompt decision.
This means that neither the contractor nor the project management team has neglected anything, but rather that the delay is due to the city’s handling of the process. As soon as the start permit is granted, the plan is for work to begin immediately.
We will return with more concrete information about the new schedule as soon as possible. In the meantime, we thank you for your patience and understanding.
